Travel Information

Schloss Schadau

Thun lies at the gateway to the Bernese Oberland and is easy to reach by car or public transport. Surrounded by the lake, the River Aare, and the Bernese Alps with all their excursions, the city of Thun offers the perfect setting for our big day.

By Car

By car, follow the parking guidance system towards Scherzligen–Schadau after leaving the motorway.
Access to Schloss Schadau for dropping off guests and luggage is permitted for a maximum of 15 minutes.

By Train & Bus

From Thun train station, take bus no. 1 to the first stop, Scherzligen–Schadau. On foot, Schloss Schadau can be reached from the station via the lakeside path in about 10–15 minutes.

A taxi ride takes around 3 minutes and costs approximately CHF 14.

The airports Bern-Belp, Basel-Mulhouse, Zurich, and Geneva are all within easy reach.
